About our Ranking System
Finecases.com has indexed the measurements of over 707 digital and electronic keyboard models and has written custom code to compare these to the measurements of every keyboard case and gig bag we sell. The result is a comprehensive cross-reference index of cases and bags which will fit every known keyboard model in our database.
We rank keyboard-to-case or bag matches with a numberical system which can aid in finding a good fit for your keyboard. The rank number represents the sum of the difference between the case or bag inside dimensions and the dimensions for your keyboard. The lower the rank number, the better the fit.
Ranking
Description
05
Cases and bags ranked 0-5 are a good fit for your keyboard. Little or no extra padding or blocking is required. A ranking of zero "0" is a perfect fit
510
Cases and bags in this range will work fine and will have some extra room for cables, etc. Extra padding or blocking may be needed, and may be included with the case.
10+
Cases and bags ranked above 10 will work for your keyboard but may not the best fit. Expect plenty of extra room in this case or gig bag.
Cases with added padding, adjustable blocking or straps may still allow a snug fit.
The cases and bags shown
for any given keyboard are
ranked and listed in order of
closest fit to your keyboard.
Note that some cases include
moveable foam blocking,
extra padding or corner cleats
that can provide a snug fit no
matter what rank number
is assigned. These cases
may be a better choice for you
over cases with a lower rank but
that do not include an easy way
to adjust the inside fit to
your keyboard.
Each match listed in our Keyboard
Case and Bag Finder Tool
inlcudes an easy way to preview
how the case or bag fits your
specific keyboard.

another way you can find the best
case or bag for your purposes.
As we continue to add more brands of cases and bags, AND as we collect more data on keyboards, we will re-index our findings and post the updated results on an ongoing basis.
Which Case or Bag is best for you?
Our keyboard search engine lists results based on measurements only. You should remember that some cases are adjustable, meaning that even if it is slightly larger than your keyboard it will still be a great fit. For cases and bags we consider a "best fit" look for the checkmark next to the listing:
This case is a good fit for your keyboard
However, you should not choose by fit alone. As a general rule, you should select a case or bag based on how you intend to use it. Gig bags are best for light-duty use, such as local gigs around town. Most keyboard cases we sell are medium-duty, meaning that they would be fine for road gigs where you control the transport of your own instruments. If you are a professional musician or require cases which can take lots or abuse, then heavy-duty cases, such as ATA flight cases, are what you need.
Search by Make and Model
Keyboard Case and Bag Finder
We make it very easy for you to quickly locate cases and bags that will fit your specific model of keyboard. By using our locator tool to identify and select your specific keyboard, you will be provided a list of all cases and bags that we consider a "best match" to your model. The dimensions of your keyboard are also included and displayed so that you may verify the fit. Because manufacturer's specifications may change from time to time we urge you to verify the measurements we show with the keyboard you own. If you find we are in error please contact us with your information and we will correct our database and do something nice for you in return :)
Search by Measurements
If your keyboard model is not listed in our selector tool, then you should search our database of cases and bags by entering your own measurements. The key here is to be as accurate as possible! Following the diagram shown on our Search by Measurements tool, enter the Length, Width and Depth of your keyboard, rounding up to the nearest 1/8". (You may also enter your measurements using centimeters instead of inches.) We also ask for the make and model of your keyboard to help us keep our information current. Your search will yield the closest cases and bags that fit given for the measurements you entered.
If you need a case larger
than what we list for your model
If you are seeking a case slightly larger than your keyboard, for example, to have additional room for cables, etc., then you may use the Search by Measurements tool and simply enter measurements larger than your keyboard in any given dimension. It's really that simple!
