About Bobelock Case Company
Bobelock case company was started in 1901 by Steve Bobelock's grandfather. After arriving in America from the Ukraine, S. Bobelock, Inc. was established to design and manufacture a better cello case, which is still manufactured and has evolved into one of Bobelock's more popular cases.
Steve's father transformed the business by improved designs, adding many new case models and improving manufacturing capabilities. Since 1978, Steven Bobelock, first in Newark, NJ, and later in Los Angeles, CA, has made cases. In 1993 the business moved to the Philippines to keep competitive with other imports. As a result, a healthy and safe factory environment was completed in 1996 and now produces many types of cases that are sold throughout the world.
