"Minimum Advertised Pricing" defined
Finecases.com is an Authorized Dealer for every product we sell, and we are bound by the pricing guidelines which may be in effect for certain products. Many manufacturers have what's called "Minimum Advertised Pricing" (MAP), or price guidelines which outline the lowest price that dealers may advertise for certain products. MAP is an agreement that all authorized retailers enter into between the manufacturer or distributor. We honor all MAP pricing guidelines imposed on us as this is the proper way to conduct business. Dealers may sell these products at whatever price they choose, even much lower than MAP, but they are prohibited from advertising these lower prices. That's why you'll frequently see "Call for a Better Price" or "Price Too Low to Show" in mail order or online catalogs. We offer our Instant Rebates to "level the playing field" between the prices we are able to offer online, and the prices that you may find at many "brick-and-mortar" stores or in mail-order catalogs.
