In Appreciation, we wish to thank—

Tom and Sue Kinnaird

Now and then it's just helpful to know that people believe in you. Tom and Sue Kinnaird have always been friends and have unending energy and enthusiasm —and optimism— that spreads to those who know them. Their kind-hearted encouragement has always been a source of inspiration and support, and their love of people has found its way into finecases.com. When you get those “warm and fuzzy” feelings while browsing here, you have the Kinnairds to thank in part for that. Tom and Sue operate Volunteer Park Family Campground outside of Knoxville, Tennessee. Thanks for believing in me!

PagePlanet Software

2002-2004 Golden Web Award
PagePlanet Software, Inc. develops internet server applications. The company began in response to a demand for reliable, efficient server processing tools that were easy to implement on the part of web site developers, easy to administer on the part of web hosting companies and functional for web site visitors. The development of Modular Gateway Interface (MGI) allows development of very powerful, database-driven dynamic web content in an easy to use tag-based programming language. For someone like myself with experience working with relational databases, this was the perfect solution which allowed me to move from concept to execution rather quickly. MGI assembles every page found on this website. Thanks, guys, for a great product!

Tom “Dusty” Street

Sometimes people are just there when you need them. Tom Street (“Dusty”) was the first person I called when I had the idea for finecases.com, back in late 2001. During the hammering out of the initial concepts Dusty provided invaluable help to me, including technical and equipment support, encouragement and dialogue—not to mention those code marathon sessions into the wee hours of the morning, where we worked out portions of the core functionality of the site—and in general, helping by the security of knowing I was not in this project alone. Without his help, this website would never have come into being. That’s for sure.

Dusty also taught me how to use the cool programming language MGI, created by PagePlanet Software (above), which has allowed me to craft this website the way I have envisioned it—or to happen at all. Dusty also owns and operates a small web hosting firm, HomeAmerica.

Soon after launch in August 2003, Dusty departed finecases.com to pursue projects more personally satisfying for him. Thanks Dusty!
